The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is definitely worth visiting while you are in Nashville. The collection of old records and memorabilia is really impressive, but what makes the visit worthwhile is the way in which everything is presented.
Election to the Hall of Fame is a huge honor in Country Music. The Rotunda has a plaque for every musician elected to the Hall. There is an information section about each artist. Learn facts about the inductees, such as the fact that Elvis has sold hundreds of millions of records and Charlie Pride was the son of a Mississippi sharecropper.
They currently have an exhibit about Hank Williams and Hank Williams, Jr., called “Family Tradition” that will surprise non-fans and delight fans.
Every week, they have a live music performance or special program. The restaurant in the lobby is a great place to grab lunch, the SoBro Grill, while you’re in downtown Nashville.
